All files are tagged with mp3gain already (as well as mixramptags), but track normalize is quite possibly not enabled on the audio server after the upgrade. I'll look into it, thanks alot for the feedback!

Many thanks for running this service for us.
I am listening to it now as we speak (or should that be type, haha)
Works OK for me without fail.

One thing I notice is the wide variation in volume level between episodes.
Can I make a suggestion to address this...

I use a useful little program called MP3Gain to normalise the volume levels of all my mp3 files.
It is free, easy to use and works wonderfully well.

Now that's weird.
I have upgraded the entire server software (including the operating system) so it's been *down* (unavailable) in short periods a few days ago, but I encountered no problems during the upgrade so all should be in mint condition now.

Anyone else had any irregular experiences with it? You find the JAMmer webstream here:

Aha! Could it maybe have been that the server was full? It's starting to be quite some traffic on it at times, although I don't think it should start asking for passwords...

It's on my to-do list to move the service to a server with a bit more capacity. Then I though I'd put up a permanent file share service for the JAM files as well.

Espen, someone has written to me... see below... to say the feed is down... any update I can pass on?

Hello,

I recently discovered your stream of JAM episodes, and have delighted in listening to it over the last few days - however, I was dismayed when this evening it started asking for a login name and a password! Is this a permanent change, or has something peculiar happened (possibly at my end)?
