Howdie.

Im probably getting annoying but have found that the files for series 18 episodes 14 & 16 dont work. The file sizes are around 320 bytes.

I know all my posts have been this doesnt work etc but can i add that this group is a true treasure trove for all JAM fans. I absolutely adore JAM and am enjoying exploring everywhere and am indepted to such a fab place. Found the newspaper articles enlightening.

Also what are the tv episodes like? Im not a big fan of Tony Slattery or Dale Winton so have shyed away from ever seeing them. Are they anything like the radio series? I envision something like Give Us A Clue.

You can see some JAM TV episodes on youtube, usually in 3 or 4 parts. Some torrent sites have several episodes available to download as MP3 files.

Don't worry about it Matthew - how else are we to know the links are dead?

Trouble with on-line storage sites is that if you go for the free option (most of us do) then files that are not downloaded for some period of time are deleted.

Note for uploaders...
I find that if files are uploaded as 'zip' compressed file archives they last longer before being deleted.

Personally I don't like the TV episodes, to me JAM is a feast for the ears.
I found the hideously gaudy sets too much for my eyes and seeing the contestants struggle made me cringe, hey ho but that's just me...

on the files, Don has given you a good reply. Perhaps I’ll add that our files include multiple copies – have you tried Charles’s collection?

on the TV shows, I think Don also gives the general view that the poor casting with few people with much experience of the game made the TV shows not as good as they could have been.

I do think though that it could still work on TV. The key could be getting Paul Merton to agree to be on it.

Charles collection (all available episodes) is the one that has the 320 byte size files. Oh well, I think there is more chance of me reaching the end of time before i reach the end of what is available here. Which is good.

One of the things that has kept me away from the TV Series, without watching it, is the line up. There are a few who are fantastic on the radio ie Clement Freud, Tony Hawks & Graham Norton. However there is also Sue Pollard, Tony Blackburn and Richard Vranch alongside the previously mentioned Dale Winton and Tony Slattery, people who dont draw me in. Says a lot that they dont have many appearances, if any, on the radio show.

Strangely enough when i see clips of the radio series being filmed on the tv i would love to see them complete. And the show for Comic Relief earlier this year was really good.

My files of those two shows are 24.3mb (The Taj Mahal) and 12.2mb (Seals). I could mail you them if you can handle such large emails?

Howdie.

Thanks for the offer. With yahoo mail attachments can only go up to 25mb and usually when files are attached they increase in size. Darn.

No problem, I'll just start a web server and let you access the collection directly. Then you'll be able to pick whatever episodes you want. I'll get back to you when I am at that PC.
