Topic: Any JAM fans like Eric Ambler?

Message 1 / 13
lapsedcatJul 4, 2011

This is a huge leap away from the world of JAM and radio comedy in general, but I know some of you are huge wirelessphiles and often record plays and whatnot from R4/BBC7 etc.

I was out watching Henning Wehn last night with a mate (and Henning would be TERRIFIC on Just a Minute) and afterwards my mate told me that BBC7 had broadcast some adaptations of classic Eric Ambler thrillers. I am a massive Ambler enthusiast, so my question is: has anyone got recordings of these they could kindly share? Thanking in advance anyone who can help....

LC my man...

My old friend Google seems to suggest that 'Tokapi' and 'Journey into Fear' were both transmitted on BBC7/Radio4Extra/R4X or whatever it's called today earlier this year as speech audiobooks not dramas.

http://www.sffaudio.com/?tag=eric-ambler   gives some interesting info too

I'll search my BitTorrent sites and see if I can get any for you, not having any myself as I am not into audio books.

I left Tokapi, Journey into Fear and a megapack of other books (no idea what they are like) downloading when I left work.

Will upload to Mediafire and send a link tonight.
Stay tuned...
