As always, RIGHT-CLICK the filename and select SAVE AS or SAVE TARGET AS or whatever your browser allows.

Then it downloads it instead of playing it.

Cheers

But Thunderbird use the expression "save link as".

Yes, thank you, and I *am* one of 'those' who use a mail client actually, my email client uses the words "Save Target As..."

It was totally remiss of me only to mention webmail clients, apologies for that, honestly...

Slightly OT, but I was a big user of Netscape mail, and then Thunderbird until our work switched to Gmail... and I haven't looked back (except when Gmail is inaccessible for whatever reason).  Even if it's not gMail, but I'd certainly recommend IMAP over POP.  Having the mail stored server-side and rather than downloaded and stored locally is a great boon.

At one stage when I was using POP, I was downloading the same mail three times - to my work computer, laptop and home computer.  Then I had to sort out the same mails in each location!  With IMAP you manage your mail in one place and access it from any computer.

Now we are getting technical here, but I don't think many use pop3 anymore. All modern mail clients support imap. So you could have kept using Thunderbird also to access your gmail account.

But if anyone are still using a mail service that only offer pop3, change server. :)
