That irritates me too, sometimes. I think that, in general, the bonus points system is a much fairer way of doing it that the way Nicholas used to do it (awarding both the point and the subject to someone if the challenge was clever enough, even if it wasn't correct), but I think he's been abusing the power more and more as time goes on. Still, I suppose if it give people incentive to try and be funny, then it's not really a bad thing.
