I thought this was interesting!

pedantic nit-pick... I am a great lover of Stcky Moments, but I don't think Charles was on that. I think the show you are thinking of is All Rise For Julian Clary - and the judge character was played by Frank Thornton, better known for Are You Being Served.

anyway, I enjoyed reading that
