Topic: JAM Quiz

Hello everyone,

I've taken the liberty of setting up a quick form where people can submit questions (and answers!) for the proposed JAM Quiz.

I think this whole process should be as cooperative and open as possible so that's how I've set it up - hopefully we can make it rather wiki-ish!

If you want to submit some questions and you'd like to use a nice easy form, please go to:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFVVNnQwVWRqWmd5QmxJaU1WM25jRWc6MQ

This form simply puts the questions into a spreadsheet which you can see at:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuYzm9XiXKPQdFVVNnQwVWRqWmd5QmxJaU1WM25jRWc&hl=en_US

You don't need any spreadsheet software to use this and it should work on just about any modern computer, and even some smartphones.

If you go into the spreadsheet then you can edit other people's questions as well as putting new ones in. You can also take a copy of the data and use it for your own purposes so please bear this in mind when submitting questions.

I know it's going to be very tempting to put in some real stinkers of questions but if it's going to be of general interest then we need just as many easy and middling questions. In fact we probably need more of the easy and middling ones.

So if anyone wants to contribute, feel free. Or if you want to moderate and check other peoples' questions and answers, feel free.

Hopefully we can also get people working on ways to use these questions to build a great quiz. I know I'm up for it; I think Espen is too; I hope others have some ideas as well. But first we need the question!

Cheers

kJ

Hi KJ.  I think there should be a field to add remarks, commentary etc about the answer.  Putting explanatory notes (such as episode names) into the correct answer would make it stand out too much.  I've added some questions with some notes in the next free column directly into the spreadsheet, but if there were a field in the Google form it would be easier for people to use.

Regards

Mark

I notice the fields in the spreadsheet refer to "Wong answers".

Do the questions have to relate to Chinese JAM players?

:-)

Well done, KJ! Clever use of Google Docs.
I am but a newbie in this crowd when it comes to clever JAM questions, but I'll try to come up with some. Hopefully everyone who can will contribute, would love to see this project become a reality!

I'm happy to do some questions but I'm on holiday for three more weeks so will have to wait till I get home.

My JAM knowledge is quite poor, certainly for setting questions.
