Topic: Mike McShane F word Faux pas

Anyone who listened to Broadcasting House on Radio 4 this morning, Sunday that is, 55 minutes after the end of the god slot, and a few minutes before the Archer's Omnibus, would have heard Mike McShane say the F word on live radio. BH was doing a stint from the Edinburgh Festival. He had to apologise, the presenter apologised, and in wrapping up the show thanked each of his guest news reviewers, ending with Mr McShane and a "Mind your language". The audience appeared horrified by their gasps. Mr McShane is appearing with Paul Merton at the Festival.

I find Mike inarticulate and unfunny and his bits today were without interest and his jerky way of speaking served to make him hard to hear and understand. In fact I skip listening to his JAM appearances as I find them painful. One guy I am glad is no longer asked back. Not likely to be now either.

Sorry to place a downer in people's in boxes.

Dave

Blimey, Dave. You don't like him, do you?

He always spoke so highly of you.
