I am very surprised to hear Julian gets one "one of the highest pay
cheques on the BBC". If he is again a big big star, I'm delighted.

On the travel yes, thats a factor, but actually they don't travel as far
as Scotland or the north of England all that often. Apart from Edinburgh
they haven't been in Scotland now for three years - and before that not
since 1999. At Edinburgh, Clement apart all the panel are already there,
though your point would still apply to say Tony Hawks.

Anyway - even if we say 8 nights out of 365 - my point was only that
being a regular on JAM isn't the sort of commitment that would
dramatically change your lifestyle. If the producers wanted Julian or
Tony on more often, they'd work around their schedules as they obviously
do with Nick, Paul and Clement.
