Re: Who would you like to see appear on JAM?

As an Oz resident, several names mentioned earlier mean little or nothing to me.

But I think Noel Fielding would be interesting to have on JAM. I've seen him on Never Mind the Bollocks (and of course The Mighty Boosh) and he seems both fluent and suitably off-the-wall to compete.

There are some interesting suggestions in those 5.

Greg Brady would probably be worth a punt (no pun intended). If history is anything to go by he could be in London this month for the NFL game at Wembley - he's covered them for the BBC in the past. It would be interesting to hear a different accent and have a transatlantic perspective.

I was impressed by Bob Mills on the News Quiz recently - he wouldn't have occurred to be as someone who would be good on that but he was and could fill the political gap that Alan Coren left, if not the intellectual one. (I already know that Alan played a character on the News Quiz which didn't necessarily fit with his private views - a bit like Al Murray).

I've been thinking recently that JaM needs some more non-comedians. People like Gyles - despite him not being a favourite of mine - undoubtedly add value to the show. It's good to see Rick Wakeman doing well as well. So if I had a vote I'd cast it in favour of after dinner speakers, sportsmen, musicians, artists, scientists, ex-politicians and generally people who would bring a different dynamic to the show. Off the top of my head, people like Michael Vaughan, Ben Miller (a scientist as well as a comedian) or David Lloyd.

Or, while Greg Brady's been mentioned, how about people from other countries. Henning Wehn has done very well on The Unbelievable Truth and Adam Hills always makes me laugh.

Cheers
