Fireworks were banned in most Australian states many years ago. Ironically, only the A.C.T. (home of parliament) allows their sale.

Completely off topic -

I would be interested to learn if bonfires and fireworks on Guy Fawkes Night 5th November is now limited to the UK or if it is still (?) recognised in our sister nations. Maybe they save their fireworks for a national day?
