This week's Have I Got News For You has Paul and Ross sitting together again and having some excellent surreal moments, especially about cheese. Which led Ross to say, that he thought he had signed up to do Have I Got Cheese For You. The other two minor league JAMers present this week are Lee Mack and Ian Hislop. Gave a flavour (a cheesy flavour) of what a good JAM on TV might look like, especially with the face pulling and miming from Ross.

Come to think of it here is a link to Nic's chairmanship of HIGNFY.

Can't wait to see the extended repeat on BBC iPlayer (which I can watch through the Wii - and so can you, but only if you're in the UK though).

Just looked on Wikipedia and it looks like Andy Hamilton is returning to HIGNFY on 11th November (Remembrance Day). So chuffed to learn he's returning to the show after a series off.

I second this.
Although it would be nice if they added just *something* extra, it doesn't even have to be an introduction to each show (although I wish they would!) but maybe an introductory opening of the CD, or include some radio commercials/teasers that might have been produced for the shows, small "collectibles" like that.

Incidentally, despite the fact that the top-quality upgrades of the various shows from this CD collection will be available to download for free from the internet at some point, I really believe in buying this commercially just out of principal.

Dear All

Dave, in a recent post, mentioned the show Does the Team Think?. When I'm thinking about this, I'm not thinking about the recent rubbish (IMVHO!) revival with Vic and Bob, but the original show, hosted by McDonald Hobley, starring a variation of Jimmy Edwards, Ted Ray, Arthur Askey, Cyril Fletcher etc etc

Does anyone have any of these to share? They seem to be virtually unobtainable anywhere...

While I'm scrounging, does anyone have any My Music episodes (Steve Race, Ian Wallace, Frank Muir etc)

Many, many thanks and apologies for the OT post

Best wishes

Oh what a tangled weave this thread could become.

I started with the Goons on the radio at the age of about 8 (about 1965) and can still nearly wet myself hearing them for the hundredth time ("Caesar ruled with an iron fist, a wooden foot, and finally a piece of string.")
I love Brit comedy - esp. Python, Coogan, Buzzcocks, QI - well, nearly everything except 'My Family' and 'On the Buses'.
I like non-Brit material that has a Brit feel - particularly the Canadians (e.g. Northern Exposure, Corner Gas).
Some of the drier American styles are good (30 Rock, Frasier) - and most of the stuff they get on cable because they won't show it otherwise.
Unfortunately most Australian comedy doesn't go down well with me (esp. our sitcoms)
I'm fond of black stuff like South Park, John Waters' films etc.
And you'll be pleased to hear I love 'Flight of the Conchords' - I think the Kiwi sense of humour is more Brit-like than ours.

What do you other guys have on your comedy iPods?

Mark, I wonder if you would post some of your other comedy interests, I’d just be interested to see them. I do agree – and I think Paul Merton once made a similar remark – that part of the enjoyment of JAM is that it can be played in different styles, and enjoyed on different levels. And there’s an old saying that goes something like “"once you try to analyse why a joke is funny, the joke disappears...”. Still it’s fun to talk about.

<soapbox>

As with the peculiarly oblique and ineffable appeal of R.E.M., if one could ever reach a clear conclusion to the meaning of JAM, it will lose its powerful joy.

To me, it is the fact that it is so varied in its observation of rules, its catholic delivery styles, and its ever-shifting "purpose" that it continues to be fresh and curiously attractive over the decades.

Once the mystery goes, interest soon follows. Like children, we keep listening because the ground of JAM keeps shifting under our feet and it fascinates us. It defies definitive classification. While we *want* to finally categorise it and earmark it and say we grok it, the adult in us hopes we never will because after that point, it loses its flavour.

I once read that it's the faults in our partners that we love, not their perfections. It's the crooked teeth in our favourite actors that endear them to us, not their pearly Hollywood caps: and it's the eccentric oddities of JAM that keep me coming back, and analysing it too much starts to defeat my own enjoyment of it.

If I tire of listening to JAM on my Ipod, then its Linda Smith's a Brief History of Timewasting or Milton Jones. I have Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Dads' Army and Hancock but they rarely get an earing.

Though I think Milton is very funny with scripted material and one liners he knows well (and he makes me feel happy), I just don't think he could manage Just A Minute.

I have changed the thread title as Mark has launched this off on a tangent. Also now sounds like a JAM subject........

Topic: MY Classic JAM Collection's faults...

Message 18 / 100
nylon netOct 31, 2011

Hi, my lovelies. I've been listening to the rips I made of MY classic JAM collection (and what it is too!) to make sure they ripped properly, and noticed one episode had some stuttering for a few seconds. I went back to the CD that was indicated in the liner notes, and found they had listed the wrong episode.

That meant I had to go through all the CDs to find the right episode and re-rip it... and found all sorts of errors in the notes.

Firstly, all the CDs are said to have episode 1 in tracks 1-10, and episode 2 in tracks 11-20... and this was true only 4 times out of 11. The actual starting track of episode 2 varied from track 7 to 12.

Then I noticed that several of the supposed original airdates were wrong - by up to 13 years.

And when I went to re-play CD 10, and found that track 1 was damaged and unreadable in 2 different CD players.
Thank Dog the first thing I did with the CDs was to rip them to FLAC. I really hate the fragility of those damned disks.

So in summary:

CD 1 is 'Excuses for being late' (ep 001) and 'My plot' (ep 225) [not the 1991 episode listed]
CD 3 is 'The Best Game' (294) and 'Coconut shies' (390) [not the 1976 episode listed]

So, don't put a lot of faith in the CD liner notes, folks!

Mark

My collection is in transit and should arrive in a few weeks. It's really disappointing to hear that even the BBC themselves can't get this right :( We like to support them by purchasing these releases, but I think it's a very poor show that they make so many mistakes. Thanks for the details.

These are the cartoons of the panelists that feature on the collection cover, but here they are separate images.
I don't know how they will arrive for *you* (depends on how you get these messages), but Yahoo will save them them in the "Attachments" section of the Yahoo JAM page.

Enjoy.

Topic: JAM in India?

Message 24 / 100

The Guardian is reporting that as part of the 45th anniversary celebrations, JAM will record shows in India.

BBC Radio 4 panel show Just A Minute is to go to India for its 45th anniversary next year – but the future of The Archers spin-off Ambridge Extra is in doubt.

Radio 4 controller Gwyneth Williams said long-running Just A Minute panellist Paul Merton and its chairman Nicholas Parsons would travel to India for the special edition of the show.

She said it was hugely popular in India with "clubs there who play the game with a fantastic passion".

It remains to be seen how the change of scene will come across on radio for the show, which will also transfer to BBC2 to mark next year's anniversary.

That's great news, I bet the audience response will be totally crazy!

And speaking of audience response, another thing I imagine regarding the JAM shows is that it sounds like the audience response in locations *outside* of London on average are better than the shows recorded in London?

if my info is correct the panel for the recording taking place about now is Paul Merton, Kit Hesketh-Harvey, Liza Tarbuck and Josie Lawrence.

But the other bit of news is that the show is not back on radio until Boxing Day. I assumed it would be back in mid-November but apparently it’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue that starts then.

I just read this today on the BBC website:

Meanwhile, Mr Thompson also announced a new online venture dubbed "Audiopedia", which would make speech programmes from the BBC archive available to download.

Users will be able to search for shows by programme, subject or person, he said.

The scheme follows the success of putting 500 archive episodes of Desert Island Discs online, generating a total of five million downloads, while every edition of Melvyn Bragg's In Our Time is also available to download.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15541175

It will be interesting to see what this means for us comedy fans.

Hi all. In an effort to make downloading easier for you guys (and harder for outsiders), I've created a FTP account for you to access my JAM and other files.

Using FTP means you can download in batches, rather than getting a file at a time using HTTP.

Just don't hammer the site mercilessly - be thoughtful of others.

Using an FTP client like Filezilla, set up a site as follows:

Host: ftp.nylon.net
User: jam@...
Password: nickparsons
The default remote directory is /up
Set transfer mode to passive.

Let me know if you have problems connecting.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/8837865/Radio-4s-Just-A-Minute-to-be-screened-on-BBC-TWO.html

Remember the last time with Sid James etc? Did'nt really quite work...or did it?
Now with all the new well established players it will be a gas to watch, I suppose
there will be lots of mime.
I wonder if it will need some added content or twist or visual or something? new.
Another BBC move about your sucess stories.

I saw Tony in Bolton last night at the Albert Halls. Very nice 2 hours. I actually ran into him early on at the back of the building as he was getting stuff from his car, and it was like bumping into a mate...sooo friendly...and nice!

Tony never mentioned Just A Minute last night unprompted, and that was in response to my card questions about Just A Minute. I had placed several questions on cards and amazingly all were answered. Did he recall the occasion when Tony won and Nicholas decided to promote the second place to joint winner? Yes he did. And what was his favourite JAM period, the 90s with the three old regulars, the 00s, or post Clement. He opted for the 90s when he was just amazed to be in a show that he had listened to as a kid, but he said the regulars didn't accept him for some time..he, like all the new arrivals, had to prove himself until they warmed to him. But Peter was nice all along! He knows Dean's website and said a bit about it as a treasure trove which he checks occasionally - says of the living players, he is now second in terms of games played. As part of this interchange, and I was right at the front, I told him (and the audience) of our forum, and admitted to playing JAM on my ipod every night...he got the wrong end of the stick and asked how you can play Just A Minute on an ipod (alone?), so I explained we shared 100s of editions of the show and I listened every night...I fell asleep with Tony every night. As a joke he moved his seat away slightly. I also got him to talk about the RIWAF movie, and how it came about, with near miss versions. The question which won the DVD was, if you could be reincarnated as a cheese, which sort would it be and why? Which stumped him, because, amazingly, he had never actually given any thought to this crucial life question. How remiss of him.

Afterwards he signed my show flier, identifying me as the Just A Minute Man (indeed) and said he knew this was the first series he would be missing since he started but couldn't do any because of the tour. However, he will be filming some of the TV shows week after next. He passed an opinion on the probability of success, which I won't share, but which I covered in my response to JAM on TV, but knew nothing of the proposed India show(s).

If you like Tony, and he is nice, then you will enjoy this show,

Dave

Hi all,

Just got back from seeing Tony's show at the Lowry in Salford. I really enjoyed it - he performs some songs, some of his own and some from other people, does a silly Powerpoint presentation, talks about his life and is generally most amusing. It's a very Radio 4 type of evening.

Interestingly he did a short segment on doing Just A Minute at the Lowry when Nicholas got an award - I think this was the same show that Miriam saw. He says he later ran into Nicholas while Tony was performing and Nicholas was in the same town promoting his book. I don't know that was just for the show in Salford but, just in case he does it elsewhere again, I won't spoil his punchline.

If I had one tip, think of a question to ask him - you write it on a bit of paper so don't have to shout it out - and you may win a prize. He's also selling the DVD and CD of the film for a few quid and did a signing session after the show.

All in all, a good night out and most recommended.

Cheers

Nice summary, thanks! Tony seem to be such a nice person, I really dig that guy. I still feel bad for him missing that JAM win... :D

If there ever will be a vote for the next chairman of JAM, my vote will go to him. I think it could work. He's not too pendatic, not too much of an attention seeker, he's able to let others take the spotlight and let others win for the sake of the flow of the game. Plus, he's intelligent.

My JAM Classic Collection has arrived :) The 11 CDs are stacked on a top of each other on a spindle. It's an efficient way to ship 11 CDs I suppose, but I am always concerned that the discs scratch one another when they rotate or move around the spindle. Now to check for the errors in the liner notes ... :)

I will be travelling across darkest Africa from 17th November for many weeks, so as always will remain grateful to those of you who upload. I am sure you will upload the TV versions as MP3s. Thanks.

It was good to hear that Paul Merton is definately going to be on the India shows as i cant see him traveling that far if it wasnt going to be faithful to the radio shows. Maybe i rely too much on seeing Pauls name but it has that safety quality to the program for me. If Paul isnt there i do have a feeling of 'uhh'. But then i hear the episode and its usually good. And there are a few poor episodes where Paul is on.
I actually agree with Nick that it all depends of the panelists and there have been shows when it hasnt gelled for whatever reason.

Hi Espen. You're welcome for the upload.

It's only relatively recently that I've discovered ID3 tags - I've always pooh-poohed them in the past, until I realised that MP3 players actually use the tags to determine play order instead of filenames!

thanks mark,

found out that Mac OS X has its on built-in ftp client ( Command-K brings it up )  but for some reason, wasn't able to connect with that.
with filezilla, it was a breeze connecting and downloading went smoothly.

thanks again, mark :-)

I also run series sets of programs through MP3Gain to normalise the volumes, especially necessary if they don't all come from the same source

to complete the set (do it first though) I top and tail mp3s using mp3DirectCut which does so without decoding and re-encoding as some do

I have received mine and I think the problem is not the liner but that the CDs with the Derek Nimmo shows are marked “Best of Clement Freud”and vice versa. I assume this is the same for everyone? This is annoying but in the end you buy these things for the discs themselves. The recordings are top quality. There are no introductions or new material though but you will be able to throw away old average quality recordings for many of the old shows.

I would also like to think they will appoint him or someone else very familiar with the show as chairman. Tony could do a very good job though they may think he offers more as a member of the panel.

If there ever will be a vote for the next chairman of JAM, my vote will go to him. I think it could work. He's not too pendatic, not too much of an attention seeker, he's able to let others take the spotlight and let others win for the sake of the flow of the game. Plus, he's intelligent.

Yes I think they may think so too - but I actually disagree with that. There are plenty comedians to pick from as panellists. Chairman on the other hand... That's more difficult I think. And Tony has that particular british elegance, he's obviously funny but also has a keen eye for the rules and the english language.

I really, really believe in him as the chairman. Who else, really?
Anyone else has a good candidate? I'd love to read your reasoning. :)

Makes me think back to Kenneth Williams demands that they make him the Chairman of this show!

Gotta say this..on those few occasions when Nic appeared as a panellist with someone else in the Chair, or even the more recent moments when he has been encouraged to take over the last bit of a subject and talk, he hasn't been half as funny as he is in the Chair, and none of the stand in Chairs did a quarter as well as he did, in my opinion. And his style and skills weren't suited to the panel.

But I don't think it wrong that maybe in a future series they have another bash at rotating the Chair, with Nic in the panel. Maybe Tony and Gyles or Chris or Tim could have goes. And it would give Nic the chance to broaden his scope.......

Why not?

I have been a huge fan of ISIHAC for many years. I remember when Willie Rushton died and it quite upset me. But when Humph died I thought it would be the end of the show. It really upset me as I felt like it was the end of an era.

When the show returned with different chairman I was very sceptical. However, it was good to hear Clue again. I must say that I feel that having a permanent chairman works better as I feel that they can develop there own personality (and there own set of running jokes).

I do not feel that I am being disloyal to the memory of Humph when I say that Jack Dee is doing a good job filling some very large shoes. I am so glad that ISIHAC did not finish. It feels more like it is on another chapter.

I feel very uncomfortable talking directly about the next JAM chairman, but I just thought that I would share my feelings about the passing of the chairman of ISIHAC. For what it is worth.

Love, David

I don’t really have any thoughts on this. I’ve never really done anything to promote the site or this list – people can read, post, or not, as they wish.

I have been thinking though that if I knew for sure the panel members I were writing about on the blog would read what I say – would I be kinder? I am kind generally I think, but about a month ago I was a little critical of Tony Hawks on the blog. Generally I think he is funny and very good on the show, and I am kind-hearted enough to not really want to hurt his feelings.

I think the traits you are describing suggest Tony is turning into the new Clement Freud – vaguely curmudgeonly, interested in the game as a game, quite capable of the extremely witty comment. I think he could well develop into the guy who will keep the competitive side of the show going.

On a chairman, I think Gyles is most likely to be the next chairman – he is the closest to Nicholas in style, sort of hammy, good sense of comedy timing, and someone who could clearly become a target for leg-pulling, teasing and straight-out insults.

The others I see as possibilities are Julian Clary and Liza Tarbuck. Julian in particular would take the chairman’s role in a different direction, but a fun one. Liza already acts a bit like a straight man and I can see that working too.

... But in a kind way, the Nicholas kind of way. If Clement were the chairman I am afraid he would have been far too much like you described a while ago, if the chairman was replaced by a computer.
In my mind Clement definitively was a panellist, not a chairman.
Another person I absolutely adore is Graham. But I do not think he would make a good chairman at all... his place in the JAM picture is as a regular panellist.

On a chairman, I think Gyles is most likely to be the next chairman – he is the closest to Nicholas in style, sort of hammy, good sense of comedy timing, and someone who could clearly become a target for leg-pulling, teasing and straight-out insults.

I see your point there. But isn't he almost *too* like Nickholas? And maybe too old, too? not that the next chairman would have to be expected to keep going for 50 years or so, but still...

The others I see as possibilities are Julian Clary and Liza Tarbuck. Julian in particular would take the chairman’s role in a different direction, but a fun one. Liza already acts a bit like a straight man and I can see that working too.

Julian! Haha, omg, that would be interesting to hear. I love Julian, but as a chairman?
It would be a very different direction indeed, but maybe, just maybe that's the exactly right thing to do?

Interesting thought.
Heres hoping we can discuss this topic for many, many more years with Nick in the chair!

Dagi,

Earlier this year someone suggested that group members make a concentrated effort to get hold of tickets  e.g singleton's applying for two, or members applying for tickets they could not use. This is all allowable as there is no requirements to prove you are the named person on the ticket, and there is no requirement to give the name of the second person. Thus one could apply for tickets and pass them on if not needed. I was successful in getting two tickets on my first go, though I only needed one, and no one in the group wanted it, and another claimed it was tantamount to fraud, which it clearly was not, but which put a dampener on the idea. I think the thread was called Group Solidarity. If you want to bear the sniping from the sidelines we could try that again.

Snipe away, snipers.

Thanks, Don.  I love MP3tag, and MP3gain (I love sourceforge overall!)

And only today I was wondering about a non-encoding MP3 trimmer - the ABC JAMs often have a 2 second pause at around the 19 minute mark (no audio is lost, the broadcast just pauses) - and I have no idea why!  And it's not just my setup: ABC recordings by Martin sometimes have them too.

I usually edit out the gap when editing in Audition 3 and saving to FLAC, then MP3.

I'll have a good look at ms3DirectCut 'cos sometimes I get an MP3 and not a lossless version which can be repeatedly edited without generational quality loss.

There's also a neat MP3 joiner, which is particularly useful to join sections of audiobooks (or other split audio files) back together into a single file... mergeMP3 at http://shchuka.com/software/mergemp3/

Hi Dean. I'm glad you got your goodies in the end.
I ignored the "Best of..." markings on the CDs themselves: it was the actual tracks that didn't match the liner notes.  But as you said, it's the tracks themselves that count.

Cheers

I have received mine and I think the problem is not the liner but that the CDs with the Derek Nimmo shows are marked “Best of Clement Freud”and vice versa. I assume this is the same for everyone? This is annoying but in the end you buy these things for the discs themselves. The recordings are top quality. There are no introductions or new material though but you will be able to throw away old average quality recordings for many of the old shows.

Chairman Rob Brydon? Like Tony, he's controlled and interesting (and his man-trapped-in-a-box voice is great).
Chairman Julian Clary?  Now that would be interesting, but not to everyone's taste, I'd suspect.

Nick-lovers may want to skip the rest of this message...

The thing about Nic I'd have to say (meaning no disrespect) is that he's really just BLAND. He's the plain plate that best shows the magnificence of the meal upon it.
He does his job (at a plate) to deliver the richness of the guest morsels thereupon.

In fact whenever he _tries_ to be clever (e.g. with his attempts at doing accents or delivering ripostes), it often backfires and he's once again the goofy friend that makes the others look clever in comparison.

To keep up the tradition, one needs to find another (again, no disrespect intended) rather slow, vain, drab game show host...

O dear.  that didn't come out right at all.  I hope Nick doesn't google* _this_ message...

I would also like to think they will appoint him or someone else very familiar with the show as chairman. Tony could do a very good job though they may think he offers more as a member of the panel.

You're not being disloyal at all David;. I did feel that Jack needed a couple of series to add his own idiosyncracities to the Clue formula - which he has done admirably *pheep* and I was speaking as the whistle went...

Yeah, as I've previously mentioned I love it when he does a urinary extraction of Nicholas Parsons in Just A Minim.

By the way, to all the Clue fans, Jack and the teams will be back on Monday 14th November with the first of two shows from Guildford's new G-Live venue, where Jeremy Hardy will be joining Jack, Barry, Graeme, Tim and Colin Sell.

Love, David

Hi,

I appreciate the reply Dave, that Group Solidarity thread passed me buy.

When I next try to go to a recording, I'll keep a close eye on this group to see if JAMers (is that the right group expression?) are working together on maximising ticket opportunities.

I've probably tried half a dozen times in the past to get a ticket via the BBC ticket office. I suppose I'm slightly surprised that I've been unlucky so many times.

For those who didn't hear it, I've uploaded the radio documentary Nicholas presented several years ago on the popularity of quizzes in India.

Towards the end of the show he dscusses "JAM Clubs" where members make their own versions, and is persuaded to host an impromptu episode without a whistle, buzzers or a timer. Bizarre to say the least, but the proposed official recordings come from this documentary.

There's also a neat MP3 joiner, which is particularly useful to join sections of audiobooks (or other split audio files) back together into a single file... mergeMP3 at http://shchuka.com/software/mergemp3/

oh dear, I didn’t mean to intrigue you, it’s just that I really have no experience of getting tickets as a member of the public. Every time I have seen a recording (only three times) it has been as a guest of the producer or the chairman. There are just a few tickets available in this way, but obviously it isn’t something that will be available to you, and I realise – it sounds like I am big-noting...

You may be interested to know the game Cheddar Gorge returned in the previous series in the Marcus Brigstocke recording. They had to tell the fairytale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears under the rules of Cheddar Gorge, but all had to slip in a chosen word. See if you can guess what those words were, and for a bonus point who said the word (choose from Barry, Graeme, Tim or Marcus).

"Once upon a time there was a Brazilian girl who loved to go and seek bears in a small forest - however, she didn't like her stethoscope, although she did like her Brazilian iPad; 'Oh, porridge!' said the little maid when she went to the kitchen and found Goldilocks eating some fresh Brazilian porridge, and also she went into the cupboard where she found a bed which was two feet too porridge!"

Samantha not there?

Incidentally I see Sarah Sharpe’s longish run at the whistle has come to an end as she is taking maternity leave. I know the BBC is looking to cut back on costs so wouldn’t it make sense for Samantha to take on that role as well. I am sure she could satisfy Nicholas with her blowing...

Moring All,

Here are the last episodes of The News Quiz and The News Quiz Extra.

http://www.mediafire.com/?d1cra5tk5f1jb - That is the folder link. It could
still be being temperamental so just in case the individual links are

The News Quiz - http://www.mediafire.com/?7jikma82cvkiwmh

The News Quiz Extra - http://www.mediafire.com/?9hte6xab7ibsu2m

I'll let you decide which links you use. These links will be in place for
roughly one week and then they will be moved to the Panel Game folder and
the links section will be updated.

Enjoy!!!

Paul

Dean - I sought of assumed you'd get tickets from someone in the production office. It's good to know that people connected to the programme provide tickets to people like you.

I wasn't trying to score any points here, I was just wondering how "ordinary" members of the public get hold of them. I get the impression that they're massively over subscribed.

Looking forward to the next series.

Dagi,

I noticed when I went to a London recording that loads of seats were reserved for guests who toodled in in their own time, not having to wait in a queue on the street for hours.

They just looked like your average joe, no celebs as far as I could see.

Maybe more love children?

Dave

Thanks Dave for the information. It confirms my suspicions that there is something not overly fair regarding ticket allocation, particularly with the reserved seats.

I have no qualms about genuine fans attending, but I suspect that some of the reserved tickets are being off loaded to people who have hardly heard of the programme.

I feel the urge to write to Roger Bolton at BBC Radio 4's feedback.

Some of you  might have already seen this if you subscribe to Radio 4-extra's news letter.   Tony H was the comedy controller (ie chooser and presenter of programmes) for Saturday morning.
Yes, I'm behind the times,  it was Saturday just past, but they can all be heard on iPlayer. (with apologies to those who can't get access to that)

but for interest,  here are Tony's favourite episodes of his favourite shows.  (I have no idea how you choose a favourite episode of anything! but he's made a brave attempt.)
I'm off now to listen to the JAM show that he chose.

Here's the blurb from the news letter.

Comedy Controller
Tony Hawks
The comedian and best selling author dips into the BBC archives and gives us these comedy delights:
Hancock's Half Hour - The Emigrant (17/02/57);
Saturday Night Fry (01/05/88);
People Like Us - The Photographer (09/08/97);
Just A Minute (02/03/1996);
Knowing Me Knowing You (22/12/92) and
I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again (16/07/67).
Saturday at 9am and 9pm

and the link to iPlayer,   Sorry that it doesn't give a breakdown of when each programme starts....  I'm going to take a guess at the beginning of the 2nd hour and then listen to the rest of it.
