Hey folks - so a follower of mine of Twitter tells me JAM's first 2 recordings today featured Paul Merton, Sue Perkins, Graham Norton and Tony Hawks in the first, then Phill Jupitus replacing Tony for the second. Another friend tells me the set is very pretty - and I trust his judgement! I'm delighted they seem to have learnt from the previous two attempts at a TV series and stuck with radio regulars. I'm sure that, even when new players do appear on the TV show, they'll be with strong regulars.

The feedback I’ve seen on Twitter has been very positive.

An yes it’s very very encouraging that they are using very experienced players.

Very positive, but us Tony fans will be wondering why he was taken off at half time to be replaced by a (pre-arranged) substitute.

Looking at the names it's Tony who now does the least TV work.

But as they haven't stuck to the same team of regulars in one pair of recordings I wonder if other regulars are to be substituted off.........

I think Phill has a great way of speaking on JAM but he isn't a regular.

yes I think you've hit the nail on the head - Phill Jupitus is more of a well-known TV name these days. Still I'd expect Tony to do some more shows over the next week.

I hear they will be slightly changing the panel between recordings - and that the panellists had to change clothes between recordings and the front row of the audience had to change seats between recordings as well, all to make it seem as if it was recorded on a different day.

Apparently more than 15,000 people applied for seats...
