Topic: Brogues and burrs

With St. Paddy's Day coming up, I'd like to find some JAMs with Irish
panelists so that my Scottish athlete husband will want to listen to
them. But I'm ignorant of any outside of Gerry Kelly, and although
Graham Norton apparently is from there, his voice is devoid of lilt!

Fred MacAuley alone would guarantee excellent Scottish representation
even without the Duff here and the Godey there (and despite Nimmo's
Scottish surname, he has as much burr as Graham has brogue -- but I
bet he looked fabulous in a kilt). But if you've a Best in Plaid to
recommend (or simply favorite Fred appearances), please recommend away.

being irish myself your post caught my eye . off the top of my head
the only other irish player of the game i can think of is pauline mc
glynn .i'll have a look through thre cast list on deans web site and
see if thier are any more . graham norton is from ireland too county
cork to be exact but as you say he has lost his accent . the same
applies to henry kelly . i have also found dara o brian . thats seems
to be it .

for your scottish husband , we well as fred mc auley i see the name
craig fergusson on the cast list too , as well as those you already
mention .

i hope that helps !
cheers
Linda

Dara O'Briain springs to mind. He has a great lilt in his voice, but not totally tropical :)

Well, the only other Irish reps that I can think of are Pauline McLynn, Dara O'Briain and Henry Kelly.

Well, I almost forgot about him, only because the man hardly spoke when he was on the show.
