Hi Mark

Anything's possible. I'm never keen to judge whether something is fast/slow 'cos I don't have the ear. And comparing the speed of a 2012 digital broadcast with an older encode is liable to the risk that the older encode was made from a tape playback - in which case I'd tend to suspect the old tape playback of being slow rather than the digital broadcast of being fast. But I did play a few of the recent ISIHAC streams alongside older encodes and the result was that they were pretty much in sync until the initial burst of applause/cheering - which was cut much shorter in the recent dgital transmissions.

If all they are doing is editing out applause then it's not a big deal - I haven't listened word for word through an entire episode to see if anything else is being cut.
