I do agree that the itneraction and the banter between players is the most important element, granted I do like the variety with regards to the guests that appear on the show, and sometimes it seems that even when someone had immediately gotten going and was speaking they'd be challenged for hesitating, which they didn't do, and had the subject taken away for reason at all.

however, there were some great moments though that came from the televised episodes, at least from those that I've actually listened to though.

however, the one episode I did see though was rather nice as it brought a humanizing element to the show, actually seeing these people playing the game and so on, was rather nice I feel.

firstly - welcome, glad you found us.

People - and I include me back in 1999 - get excited at the idea of
seeing JAM on TV but most people I've discussed this with find the shows
themselves - as pieces of television - disappointing. They're very
static - the only person who tries anything visual in all the shows I've
seen is Arthur Smith who does a Michael Jackson moonwalk. I bet Kenneth
would have used the medium better.

And the shows are full of people in only their first or second or third
game and so they're not really into the flow of the game and sometimes
the shows get bogged down in challenges over very small words which
lessens again any chance of the game getting into the flow. And a lot of
them don't really seem to have anything to say anyway.

It's actually a difficult game to play well - they should have gone for
more experienced players. But watching them it's understandable why the
series were cancelled. To me the producers involved don't seem to have
thought through what makes the shows work. It's the interaction and you
get that when people know each other really well.

Those are my impressions anyway.
