Hi Paul,

Many thanks for your MP3 - much appreciated.

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed this show. I've been looking forward to hearing a potential new dynamic and I wasn't disappointed. The banter between the panellists was friendly but aggressive at times, Nicholas didn't get too patronising as he sometimes does with other new panellists and the audience seemed to really join in and enjoy it.

IMHO, an experiment which has paid off handsomely.

Cheers

kJ

Hi!

I don't usually chime in on show reviews, but I have to step in and disagree with KJ - in a friendly way, of course.

I was also looking forward to the India shows, I am getting *really* tired of the same round of panelists every week (honestly, I could cheerfully strangle Paul Merton).

The point I disagree with KJ is on Nicholas Parsons. I found him to be patronizing with the new panelists, to the point where my husband and I almost turned it into a drinking game. Not to spoil it for anyone (LOOK AWAY!! :) ), but that one round where I think it was either Marcus or Paul buzzing in when there was .24 of a second left, for hesitation, and then GIVING it to them for that .24 of a second just - AAARRGGH!!! In the past Nicholas has always said "Oh, well, they haven't played the game before" or "they haven't played the game as often.." and been more generous of spirit, as have the panelists. Although, maybe the tone was set by the early challenge of "too many I's", but again that could have just been treated with a gentle "we don't really challenge on that, benefit of the doubt to Marcus to be redressed later" or something like that.

Anyway, all of this is just my opinion. :) And THANK YOU!!! to Paul for the uploads, you have been making my weeks very enjoyable!
