Topic: One show. 21 march

I've just flicked through the channels and landed on The One Show, which I normally avoid like the plague. HOWEVER, there on the couch was Nicholas, Giles and Tony Hawks. There was a pretend round with Giles explaining the origins of the game with a clock timer in the corner. At this point I didn't realise this wasn't the new televised programme (which starts next week on BBC2) and thought, that's quite a good idea to see how much time there is left! but turns out it was just a gimmick for this show.

It was worth a look - for those who can see bbc iPlayer. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv/bbc_one/20120320 - it's not there yet, since the programme is still on.)

After the JAM promotion, the three of them have been involved in the sort of banter that they do on this programme. (as I said, I don't normally watch it, but this one was quite good!!!)

Enjoy!

Hi folks,

For you good folks outside of the UK who won't be able to get the iPlayer feed, I've edited the programme down to (mostly) leave the stuff about Just A Minute.

There are two versions at - a small one (at about 67MB) and a larger one (at about 120MB). They are the same content but using different compression so the larger one has much better video and audio quality. They run for just over 13 minutes.

There is some interesting stuff in there, not just about the TV series. Such as Nicholas telling Giles why he never appeared on the same show as Derek Nimmo which Giles seemed unaware of. And Nicholas saying that a film had been made about the India trip, so hopefully that will air at some point.

I've also left some of the Sport Relief item in (it's a charity telethon that takes place this weekend on the BBC) because it has a very small connection to JaM as well.

Cheers

Awesome, thank you very much. Much appreciated.

I'll make an mp3 file of it too, and add that to the playlist circulating on the JAMmer webstream. If anyone would like me to put up the audio file for download just tell.

Thanks you very much for the show - it was amusing, and now I don't dread the televised version any longer :-)

As for your comment: "Such as Nicholas telling Giles why he never appeared on the same show as Derek Nimmo which Giles seemed unaware of."

This seems to be a running gag, Nicholas have told it a couple of times in the show, and on other occasions. First I thought he was perhaps forgetful, but now I'm leaning to the explanation that he is making fun of Giles's tendency to repeat his material over and over (upps!) again at the show.
