Hi Dean
Well, I thought you might guess by reading between the lines how Greg performed. It wasn't that he didn't listen. He did get a few points like this which proved he was intent on playing the game. It's just that when he did speak he was a bit slow out of the gate. He does have a lovely endearing manner. The audience all cheered when he appeared. The last to be called. The panel were all introduced individually and walked on from behind a black curtain which was the backdrop for the stage. He is endearing and has one of the most unusual voices I believe I've ever heard. He strikes me as more of a physical comedian though. He was making the audience laugh in little breaks during the recording by whimsically making little paper aeroplanes which pathetically didn't fly very far. He undoubtedly has presence but, I dunno, maybe practice before you come on, Greg.
It's an interesting question to ask if this is a show you can practice for? Perhaps not.
I was very unfair on Josie the other day and it has been chastening to get nice feedback. I hardly deserve it but thanks to Don I now feel purged. It won't happen again, sir.
Kenneth Williams used to say that critics are like eunuchs and perhaps he knew better than most. Very critical man. I love him too, though.
I was listening to one of the old shows where he famously said, as he used to when thwarted by the opposite sex, 'Women shouldn't be allowed on the show'. Five minutes later when he agreed with a challenge she'd made, he was most ebullient, enthusing, Yessss, we should have more women on the show'. Hilarious.
I couldn't agree more.
Martin

> thanks very much Martin â€" good honest appraisal. How did Greg go â€" he hasn't been much of a success on the show in the past and I am a bit surprised to see him return
