While it's true the usa produces very little in the way of radio drama or comedy there are a few still-
Twilight Zone Radio Theater- is heard on many stations with many hollywood stars

Immagination Theater ( from my hometown seattle) had been making radio dramas for over 30 yrs & is still going strong

There are a couple of Panel shows- Wait Wait Don't Tell me- close to a usa version of News Quiz

Says You- a Word/Triva show- that I have attended several recordings of when it has come to seattle
