leapt forward, and then just leave it at that with no follow up. I
remember using the Audacity program to play around with some JAM
programs and I did that once, and it actually sounded a lot funnier
when that happened.

I really disagree with you. Only when I came to this group did I find
people with the opinion that Nicholas is extremely patronizing. I
really can't see that. I just see him as this amicable, and quite
silly old man. He's perfect for Just a Minute. First off, he's a great
foil for the panelists and he knows his place and (well, at least most
of the time) doesn't try too hard to be funny. He just has a kind of
"friendly grandpa" [I know this may sound weird] vibe about him that
gives a cohesion to the game, a family-like feeling to it, that keeps
people listening. Even if you don't like him, you keep listening to it
to hear the abuse, which is telling, I feel.
That being said, with all the things that the other panelists say at
times - which are as patronizing and mean as that may seem to you - I
don't think that Nicholas is being rotten when he says that. It's just
a joke, like any other. Like when Kenneth says that "there should
never have been women on the show" (although that might be a bad
example), but you get my point.

I do think that there are many more things to be listed, particularly
of recent years, but I'm only familiar with the older shows.
