Hi
Not sure how much is due to Oxford, like many people he seems to have got through by doing nowt. More likely the years since of writing - he does the blog every day and writes a new full one-man show each year for Edinburgh and touring. Plus does a heap of give away podcasts - which i should note require a 'parental warning' - they aren't for the faint hearted. Currently doing the RH leicester square podcast (following a similar format from Edin last year to be repeated this) where he does a bit of standup then interviews guests unedited. Tim Minchin was on the first & Jonathon Ross the second (with Francesca Martinez who has CP, but one of the iTunes reviewers said she sounded drunk)(re warning - there is a recurring question re self-fellatio: relates to his next show talking cock, a reworking of his response to the vagina monologues
More surreal/absurd is the Me1 v Me2 snooker podcast - yes he plays snooker against himself, with RH as referee and 2 RHs as commentators. And sometimes gets lost.It is absurd, not to be recommended but strangely hypnotic. Currently in abeyance as he is having his house redecorated.
The blog is, not surprisingly, self reflective/absorbed but insightful, amusing, repetitive, very honest and yet once you get into his life cycle rather addictive. And done every day - even on his honeymoon!
His most recent claim to fame was calling Ricky Gervais out for using the term 'mong' in tweets to describe something stupid: got RH a lot of abuse on twitter but raised the issue.
enough semioff topic
But could mention Greg Proop's smartest man podcast - another free one. Perhaps he didn't have enough vodka on JAM, or missed people who didn't get his negro leagues reference (often referred to in the boring preachy parts; as does satchel page for those in the know)
