Hi all,

I tend to agree with the thought that an NP successor may come out of left field.  Chairing the game requires quite different skills to playing the game.  However, I would be reluctant to make suggestions as I’m not fully au fait with the breadth of talent available in the UK.

Having said that, familiarity with the game would be a huge plus for any new compere.  If a successor were to come from the current player pool, I agree that Tony Hawks may be up to it.  I’m quite a fan!

I’m in two minds about NP’s eventual retirement.  A carefully chosen new Chairman would freshen-up the show.  However, some of the funniest moments have come from Nicholas’s naivety, and he’d be missed.  One of my favourite moments is Kit Hesketh-Harvey stating he played a transvestite (aka a “TV”) in a live show. Nicholas was so fixated on him being a TV that he missed every mention from the panellists about Kit being a transvestite. No matter how many times I listen to that episode, I still laugh.

Just throwing in my penny’s worth.

Hi All
With the inevitable retirement of NP as chairman of JAM, who could possibly take over. I have been listening closely to Tony Hawks and he seems to fit in nicely. He does not take himself to seriously, he understands the game well.

Stephen Fry would also be good, but not sure he would want to do another panel show. And he cant play very well.
Graham Norton, not sure its his bag really, but he sure can play the game well.

NP is a difficult act to follow for sure and his acting skills sets him in good stead to build up the start and the end of the show, which I still find amazing after so many years he is still so excited about the game.

So pop your views and names into the ring and lets see how this falls.

PS have any of you actually been able to play the game for REAL?

Wayne
