Well, y'know in my line of work I get to meet some really nasty people in nasty situations but to get to them I sometimes have to drive through really nice-looking places. Such is the case with (Old) South Wales so we've come back for a poke around.

So you book your week of work, you pack your tent and you put up with what the fates bring you in the way of weather. In this case, patches of nice sun and patches of battering down rain. It's been like this since those soft southerners declared a drought... ;-)

So far this week I've been down a coal mine, visited a Roman bath-house and amphitheatre, had fish and chips sitting on the beach (in the sun), explored a castle and walked around a living history museum.

Last time I was in Melbourne (on business) it was winter there too. Got to drive out to Geelong to see my relatives. Happy days.
