Long may the program – and Nicholas' chairmanship - continue!

I've been listening to the recordings that Mark from nylon.net has been kindly producing from ABC's broadcasts as he publishes them. I had wondered if my preference for the new shows over the "classic" ones was down to the quality of the recording I was listening to. But even with Mark's lovely clean recordings I can't honestly say that I'm a fan of the pre-Merton shows.

I don't know what it is. Just about anything pre-1980s I listen to varies from downright awful to just about bearable. Possibly the only exception would be "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again" which I still find listenable-to and funny. Interestingly the earlier "Clues" which have similar hertitage as ISIRTA I find poor too.

Cheers
