Well,

I was home from work today to meet movers and plumbers, so I decided it's about time I started pulling my weight around here.

This week's episode has been uploaded to this folder:

If you want a direct link, it's:

Huzzah!

thanks James and to all the others who do "God's work"on this.

I thought Tim Vine was a good newcomer today.

Yes!

Tim Vine was excellent.  One of the best first appearances that I can remember.

Many new players are either mostly silent until Nicholas helps them along, or way too focused on winning the game.  Tim's interjections were entertaining, his flow was good, and we seemed to hear just the right amount from him.  I hope they invite him back.

A good show from Edinburgh.

Thought it was a really good episode with all 4 getting involved.
Am a fan of Tim Vine so was really looking forward to hearing him and he did really well considering it is such a difficult game and it was his debut.
Jason's flow was slow but at least he participated and joined in with the running gags. Who knows with a bit of time and experience he might become a worthy addition to the rotation list along with Tim.

Where is Tony Hawks by the way? And Ross Noble hasnt been heard of recently? Actually there a number of folk who havent been on in a while (Stephen Fry, Sheila Hancock, Time Rice to name 3).

Tony Hawks is "hawking" his new film "Playing the Moldovans at Tennis".

Unfortunately - unlike the book and his previous film "Round Ireland with a Fridge" - it's not very good.  This is a shame because all the proceeds go to his children's home for those with cerebral palsy in Moldova.  You can watch it via his website; it's now free to watch but donations welcome.    It is worth five pounds of anyone's money.  It has some good moments, but doesn't hang together well.

Incidentally, we all enjoyed "round Ireland with a fridge".  It streams at £4 via PayPal.

I still think he should be Nicholas' replacement (when theme comes)

Yours

Julian

I've always said the same. It would have been really, really interesting to hear a test run with Tony as chairman.
