Hi All
I watched this tonight and thought they were rude to Nick, he even looked hurt by the comments made at one time, or was I being too Nick sensitive?

Outragious!
The Monty Python theme played at the start of the second round never got a mention...

Hi

Yes - I think you are probably being over sensitive for nick - the ribbing seemed less than on many JAMs & he seemed to be quite comfortable. Remember he is a straight man.

And it is interesting how many celebrity masterminders have not come to terms with their loss..Richard Herring did really well with a special subject Rasputin; but lost to a woman from antiques roadshow who did wedgewood I think, which does seem a bit  close to the profession.

Anyway - it will be interesting to see them in the next round - quite a nice gentle genteel panel game

The ribing did go on a bit more than needed-

Now I do like David Tennant but I don't think he is "chairman" material- maybe he will loosen up a bit as the series goes on.
Paul merton or someone like Bill Bailey would have been better choices in my opinion-we shall see.

I did remember the show The Ugliest Girl in Town-I was pretty young but I was aware of it. Drag is rarely an american comic thing although Milton Berle used it & there was that one tv show with tom hanks that was popular.
I just wish usa tv would Rediscover the "panel show"
for goodness sake shows like What's My Line & To Tell the Truth were very popular in their day ( and I bet they are cheap to make)
