Apologies in advance to Nick fans.

Golly, did Nick make an embarrassing bumblepuppy out of himself in this ep.

First, he trotted out his Scottish accent.
Then he rode on the coat-tails of a panelist's clever riposte by again suggesting he deliberately fed the line to him.
Then, when panelists were speaking in French, he did his pseudo-French routine - only to be tripped up when he was accused of not understanding French.
To that he tried to get away with claiming that *he* understood but a couple of others didn't.

He's really much better when he doesn't try to be clever.

Mark

Hello

Well I do agree with the view of how the show went, but it was funny to listen to him try to get out of the situations and get deeper and deeper into the holes. We have all put our foot in it from time to time, but not usually recorded forever.

Listening to later Paul Merton and he is very very good and on a level with the older players such as Clement and Derek. (Poor Peter Jones, just love the mess he makes time and time again.

I found Kit Hesketh-Harvey a little near the knuckle to be funny, but for the shock factor at times.
