When did winning Celebrity Big Brother become "the ultimate in live broadcasting"?

or depending on how you read it

When did Celebrity Big Brother become "the ultimate in live broadcasting"?

You can listen to and download Julian's appearance on DID here www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/desert-island-discs/castaway/4cc77c45#p00935f7 - tho the music may be shorter than in the broadcast version on Sunday.

A host of Jam panelists have featured on DID and many of them can be downloaded from the official site (link below), just do a search for whoever you are interested to see if they've done on and whether its available to download.

(The links arent appearing in preview so if not active just copy and paste into your address bar.)

A trip to India, a foray into TV, the Sony Radio Academy Gold Award for its longstanding and longsuffering presenter Nicholas Parsons and our first broadcast in 45 years of the show's original pilot. And in the month of its actual birthday (December 22nd 1967) we revisit the Desert Island Discs of 5 of the regular players starting with Julian Clary.

Once "banned" from live TV by LWT after his appearance at the British Comedy Awards, Julian won Celebrity Big Brother this year - the ultimate in live broadcasting.
