Hello Group,

I found this site a few weeks ago and am absolutely thrilled to be able to find so many Just A Minute episodes accessible in one place. I am a quite recent fan of the show, having found one of the fellow member's radio transmission on my iPod Touch about four months ago; I work as a night maintenance person working on all manner of industrial equipment in a building virtually empty of co-workers, so my form of diversion/entertainment for the last few years has always been music, but I found myself needing more stimulation than the same old thing for 6 or 7 hours nightly and went looking for a comedy channel via my TuneIn radio app. I quickly came across Just A Minute Radio and have been hooked ever since. I'm obviously a true newbie but have spent many, many hours each week listening to 45 years of this amazing show; I only wish I had been introduced to it many years sooner. My favorite players are Clement Freud, Paul Merton, Sue Perkins, Tony Hawks and Graham Norton but I am also quite fond of the classic lineup as well as many of the semi-regulars who have played the game for decades. Being an American I have so little knowledge of these people and am only learning of their celebrity via the internet. I managed to find a large block of episodes via download a few months back that dated from early on to around 2007, and until now I've only been able to listen to shows from the last several years via radio, but thanks to this wonderful group I will now be able to enjoy many recording I have never heard as well as several that I have come to love upon rebroadcast. Thank you so much for your generosity and efforts!

Happy Holidays,

Louis Howard

Welcome Aboard, Louis!

And I say that without hesitation... repetition or deviation.

Welcome to the group-I am an american fan as well ( seattle)

I found the show via the BBC World Service that a local radio station picked up many yrs ago. I was already familar with many of the players as I have been an Anglophile since 1970 & British comedy is my most favorite things.

I was lucky enough to see a recording of the show a couple yrs back when I was in the uk.

Feel free to ask any questions as I am sure someone will be glad to help you.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! :)

I've always had a love for British comedy and indeed for Great Britain, which I consider my ancestry, so quickly finding the show to my liking was easy. I find myself knowing so little about most of the guests and am only beginning to get my feet wet in researching their individual lives and renown. At age 52 I feel I'm old enough to appreciate the humor of classic lineup and young enough to enjoy the new guard!

For anyone who may be curious, I'm located in the Midwest USA in Indiana.

Welcome to the group Louis, and thanks for the introduction! It's always fun to read such things from new members. Also, of course, very cool to read how you enjoy the JAM internet stream.

The internet stream is fantastic! I feel it is a prime example of how radio has advantages over television; mobility. My work requires that I be mobile most of the time so having a pocket device that affords me nightly entertainment is, if not essential, certainly something I treasure.

What I do these days is start off listening with my iPod Touch each day after my lunch break. If I find a particular episode to be one I'm not keen on listening to I switch over to my 120 GB iPod Classic and listen to mp3 files of one of the episodes I have downloaded. On an average I listen to JAM three hours each day while performing my job.
