Ooh!  'Ere's a lad who's willing to pay for the whole 30 minute argument, not just the 5 minute one!

Hi Simon

My point was that perhaps too obscure - I agree that someone listening to the ABC has a right to complain (wherever they are) as the shows are now 'broadcast' everywhere. Perhaps more weight to local complaints, but then that would still be the bulk anyway. What got my goat a bit was the poster who didn't even know what the station was. The lure of the slightly cleaner copy.

Yep - iplayer (or this list) is the only way to hear - I think it is a shame because the new series have a lot to offer, not the least getting to know many of the current comedians.

I enjoyed the goons, but can't see why they would want to be broadcast not stop. Similarly they are continuing with My Word (perhaps the $) which seems slow, forced and again there are probably people who can recite the 'off the cuff' stories or at least read along with the versions which came out in book form in the 70s. And at the moment QI is slotted into any free 30 minutes on TV - the next week it is on at 8 every night. And the show too often descends into the laddish mire which is currently being debated re comedy/comment shows at the moment (few women, they get to say less, double (or single) entendre rules). And if you think Stephen Fry is a supercilious bore, whose faux self denigration annoying (i read the second volume of memoirs and got so cross about how wonderful everyone else is and how I don't know how poor little talentless me is doing as well as I am) then it is even worse. They have played a handful of would I lie to you's, and bugger all else.

Slight rant, off with my head.

Just by the way, why do people collect the news quiz or now show - it's called topical for a reason
