ABC plea

Hi all. the Manager of Operations of ABC Radio National wrote to ask for a sample of last week's mangled JAM broadcast.

While I sent it along, I thought I'd oil our wheels a bit by adding, "And while I have your ear, I'm saddened to see that 'Just A Minute' is being dropped from the schedule. There is a small but passionate international following of JAM, and the ABC has been our sole source for hearing good quality vintage episodes. Most of them have never been rebroadcast even by the BBC since they originally went to air.

I understand you probably have licence restrictions on how long you can continue airing JAM, but if there happens to be a spare slot we'd love to see it continuing to air, as you have done with the Goons since Eccles was an egg."

I deliberately chose to say "hearing" rather than "recording" for obvious reasons :-)
