The dates given are when the show was broadcast on BBC World Service. This would usually be 6-12 months after it was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4. No episodes of JAM ever premièred on the World Service!

Unfortunately, all episodes are heavily compressed (32kbps, 48Khz, single channel Mono) in the beta version so sound a little like they were recorded underwater. :-(

According to the About page this is because "lower quality audio reduces the costs of running the prototype which means we can include more programmes with the budget we have available".

I guess we'll have to wait a year or two for the project to go public before the files are available at a higher bitrate...
