This has long been one of our missing episodes.  To cut a long story short,

I believe this episode is help by BBC Radio International, catalogue number CN2371001.

The version that they have runs 25 minutes.

BBC Radio International, for those who don't know, is what became of Transcription Services, and is the BBC's international syndication office.

Turns out, they have a searchable on-line catalogue covering some of the programming packages that they sell into Syndication.  It's located here:

http://www.bbcradioint.com/search.aspx

Searching their Spoken Word section for Just a Minute brings up quite a number of episode packages for sale into syndication.  Most of them look like this:

JUST A MINUTE (027-053)

A panel game in which competitors try to talk for "Just a Minute" without hesitation, repetition or deviation.

I found the following to be of interest:

JUST A MINUTE (106-131)

A panel game in which competitors try to talk for "Just a Minute" without hesitation, repetition or deviation. Part 131 suitable for Christmas use.

Assuming their numbering is somewhat close to that on Dean's site, this would cover part of series 6 and 7.  According to Dean's site, episode 132 is a Christmas show; too close numerically to be a coincidence, to my mind.

Especially given this entry:

JUST A MINUTE (054-079)

A panel game in which competitors try to talk for "Just a Minute" without hesitation, repetition or deviation. Part 78 suitable for Christmas use.

According to Dean's site, episode 79 is a Christmas show.

So, that brings me to the all important catalogue number CN2371001.

JUST A MINUTE (158-184)

A panel game in which competitors try to talk for "Just a Minute" without repetition, hesitation or deviation. Part 184 suitable for Christmas use.

The episode that we're missing is, according to Dean's site, episode 182.  There's no other Christmas show listed in Series 9, and the air date for #182 was December 23rd, 1970.  Assuming that our numbering and theirs were out of sync by one in the earlier seasons, and are somehow out of sync by a further episode in season 9 (or perhaps the BBC just consider a different order to the shows), I would say that it's highly probable that this is our missing episode.

Soooo...  which of you owns a radio station and would be willing to purchase that particular syndication package?  ;)
