To be fair, the traffic has increased considerably, and a lot of it is about comparing different versions of episodes, something that not all members of the group may be particularly interested in.  Heck, we're supposed to be discussing Just a Minute and we haven't talked about the new episode, yet!  (Granted, I haven't listened to it, but I will in the next day or so!).

I'm guilty of sending lots of similar messages in quick succession.  I did this when I was originally looking at the World Service episodes and thought after a while "Oh dear.  This is probably annoying someone".

Still, I think trying to get, as much as possible, complete versions of episodes is a worthy cause and something I want to continue doing.  Sure, I don't really care about small words or shortened applause here and there, but when complete segments or even entire rounds have been cut, or we're missing a fun joke or exchange, that stuff matters to me.

So, Robert, I do appreciate your point.  Hopefully the advice that some have given about filters and digests will help, and for my own part I'll attempt to better organise my thoughts in a single email, rather than sending five.

I'm not even sure it qualifies as "humour", to be honest.

But another tip is to make a dedicated folder in your mail client and create a filter who automatically moves the mails from this list to that folder. That makes following the different threads/discussions easier too, plus they don't get mixed with your other mails.

Irony tends to be a British trait with humour, however thanks for yours and everyone else's tips on de-cluttering my email.
