I dont know. SPECULATION:
When you listen to him, he often becomes embarrassed by what he was saying on the spur of the moment.  He does raise the issue that he did not like the changes made to the show and that Kenneth was given top billing over him.
He was also an odd character in real life and he may have been reluctant to spend the money on a tape recorded!!! Unlike Bob Monkhouse.  If anyone had a library of recordings of JAM it would be him. I will contact his estate to see.
