It's been a while since we had a new show without Paul. In his place is a newbie, comedian Roy Walker, from Northern Ireland, which is also where this episode was recorded:

Enjoy!

You're welcome, James!

At the end of the show you'll hear the announcer say "And next week Sue Perkins and Russell Kane are among the players". This is contrary to what it says on the BBC website.

The actual line-up should be: Paul Merton, Richard Herring, Russell Kane and Gyles Brandreth. According to Richard's blog, he received a call at 2pm on the day of recording asking if he could fill-in, so presumably he was a last-minute replacement for Sue?

Of course, this means the only female player in Series 66 is Pam Ayres...

if Sue had been there, it would have been the first time Sue and Gyles had been on the same show since early 2009... yet since that time only Paul has been on more often.

Thank you, excellent work as always.
Also thanks for including the announcer - I think it's fun to hear what was said right before/after the broadcast of the show. :)
