Another classic episode of JAM has just finished airing on BBC Radio 4. I believe Nicholas is correct when he says it's the first time there has ever been three complete minutes in one show?

Enjoy!

Next week the panel will be Graham Norton, Kevin Eldon, Pam Ayres and Paul Merton.

Got there just before me Dean! Was trying to remember who had done it - Sue, Jeremy Hardy and Tony.

I had a feeling Nicholas's memory may have been failing him on that point, although it was 13 years ago and I have trouble remembering what happened just a few weeks ago...

Just listened to Episode 533 and noticed another gaffe by Nicholas. After the second complete minute he says, "That has never happened in JAM before. Two consecutive rounds for the full 60 seconds." Of course, we know that has happened before too - the first occasion I'm aware of was back in 1968 in Episode 7. Anyone know of any others?

Hi

I think that rather than consider it a gaffe, perhaps it is geeing up the audience a little to add to the excitement. In the same way he didn't point out the repetitions in Paul's round - so as not to deflate the mood.

Oh man, there's an almost endless list of examples of where he's been claiming stuff that's not factually true - it happens *all* the time.

And I agree with Jeremy: I think he's doing this to wind up the audience and temperature of the show. He's a showman, first and foremost. Not a statistician.
