I'm trying to gather together all available episodes of the Just A Minute TV broadcasts so these can be added to the share folder for access by all and am seeking the help of group members in this quest.

A list of all known Just A Minute TV episodes (derived from Dean's Just a Minute site) is here:

There are 58 episodes in total from four seasons in 1994, 1995, 1999 and 2012. There is also reported to have been two pilot episodes recorded in 1969 and 1981, but these were never broadcast.

Currently available episodes are:

1994 2,3
1995 11,12
1999 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,12,13,14,16,17,18,19,20
2012 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

with some present confusion about the true identity of the 1999 episode 2.

Missing episodes are:

1994 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14
1995 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,13,14
1999 1,9,11,15 (audio soundtrack held for all except 1 and 15)
2012 none

Leaving 28 episodes yet to be found.

All contributions gratefully accepted for the purpose of sharing for all group members to access.

A great idea, Martin! It would be wonderful to have all the TV episodes available for download from a single location. I'm sure I recorded some of them on VHS at the time and hope to track them down soon as I slowly digitize my video collection.

Well that didn't last long.

I received 56 separate notices of suspension, one for each of the files in the JAM TV share, including the audio only ones, due to alleged copyright infringment from Ian Noble of Infringement Portal, so the files have all been deleted.

If you got in quickly and downloaded the files, well done.

If you think that no one is watching this group, think again.

Mark, your caution is well justified!

Have a look at BitSnoop's DMCA compliance page and you will see that Infringement Portal is by no mean the most vigilant of the "intellectual property protection services racketeers" listed.

Sincere thanks anyway Martin for yr efforts. And to all others who share files.
 
It is very depressing to think this list is being monitorred.
 
I guess we need to have a think about what takes place here.
 
By the way, on the numbering issues, thanks to those interested in my views. I have been taking a careful look through my files and things here and hope to write something in the next couple of days.

Did you perchance zip the videos?  (Not to compress them, but to obfuscate their video contents?)

Actually, anyone can follow the file sharing here without being on this
list. Just do a Yahoo or Google search. While you can't post unless you're
a member, you can read. There is probably a way to make this group private,
but that doesn't prevent Yahoo from monitoring what goes on here. The truth
is that I found the password for Nylon with a Google search in about 30
seconds. Even if I didn't know such a site existed, it is mentioned in his
signature. I had more trouble with Yahoo searches, but found several
references to ftp sites and download links posted here in the past.
Uploading a double zip file with a password does no good as the download
links are still visible.

My guess is that probably they did a series of automated searches and caught
you that way. After all, your request for TV recordings is fairly obvious.
With search engines updating sites almost instantly, it's a matter of hours
before they catch on. You could go through the list of members and cut off
anyone who looks suspicious, but I very much doubt that it'll do much good.
I had no problem finding a permanent link to any previous post in the
archive for this group. I'm assuming they don't bother you as much about
the radio shows because they're already issued as podcasts and have less
commercial value, besides being available from the IPlayer. I don't see any
good solution except to not share files on the web.

on the jam jar – just to make it clear I don’t really have any strong views on it at all, in the end decisions are entirely up to you, Mark. I am happy for you to mention it here, or not, as you wish. All I was saying was if that we discuss it here, newcomers – and we get 10 to 20 or so each month – are going to ask about it.
 
Personally Mark, I have been using the jam jar a bit recently and am finding it very convenient. So thank you very much. I guess I’ll have to head over to the forum for the new password.

I know it's annoying to have regular login requests from newcomers, and I don't want to burden this list unnecessarily.
However I can't think of another way of maintaining a secure and stable resource site without having a password attached.
If I think of a solution, I'll let everyone here know  :-)

Dear Martin, "Streamload" seems like a long time ago now.

I would like to thank you (and many others here) for all your hard work and perseverance over the years in sharing your stuff. In particular the BBC comedy has been great for me as I have lived here in Korea for the last 15 years. Sharing radio shows and discussions on groups like this means a lot to me.

I would also like to thank my Big Brother for watching over me. Keep up the good work.

If the forum was down, it was only temporary. It's good now. The Jar hasn't moved' the password has just been changed.

By the way - I'd imagine that the deletions and takedowns are more to do with media companies trawling the various file sharing sites than it is direct monitoring of the list.
