Well that didn't last long.
I received 56 separate notices of
suspension, one for each of the files in the JAM TV share, including the audio
only ones, due to alleged copyright infringment from Ian Noble of Infringement
Portal, so the files have all been deleted.
If you got in quickly and
downloaded the files, well done.
If you think that no one is watching
this group, think again.
Mark, your caution is well
justified!
Have a look at BitSnoop's DMCA compliance page and you will
see that Infringement Portal is by no mean the most vigilant of the
"intellectual property protection services racketeers" listed.

is that I found the password for Nylon with a Google search in about 30
seconds. Even if I didn't know such a site existed, it is mentioned in his

Uploading a double zip file with a password does no good as the download

My guess is that probably they did a series of automated searches and caught
you that way. After all, your request for TV recordings is fairly obvious.
With search engines updating sites almost instantly, it's a matter of hours
before they catch on. You could go through the list of members and cut off
anyone who looks suspicious, but I very much doubt that it'll do much good.
I had no problem finding a permanent link to any previous post in the
archive for this group. I'm assuming they don't bother you as much about
the radio shows because they're already issued as podcasts and have less
commercial value, besides being available from the IPlayer. I don't see any
good solution except to not share files on the web.

Good point, Tony... one that has been on my mind recently.I have changed the login to the JAM Jar, but now only registered forum users can get it, to keep it safe.I will not announce login details on this Yahoo group again, so please don't ask - for Dean's sake and mine.
Nor will I announce new uploads to the JAM Jar here, in keeping with Dean's implied wish that I should not mention the JAM Jar here.CheersMarkOn 7 June 2013 12:52, Tony Baechler <tony.baechler@...> wrote:Actually, anyone can follow the file sharing here without being on this
