One of the pros is that appearing on sites like Google promotes Just A Minute and gives people who would never consider providing their personal details to an organisation like Yahoo at least some access to our information.

One of the cons is that some - to understate it by a long way - legally dubious practices such as sharing programmes end up being stopped.

I'm more in favour of keeping the group public than against it.  If people want to discuss things out of the world's gaze, for whatever reason, this isn't the place.

Just my penny's worth of course.
