So sorry to appear dumb as I've not been closely following the ups and downs of various members, but is no-one posting the new shows any more? Big sad face if not..... :-(

Ignore that, just read an old post asking me not to mention it.

Will someone please post easily downloadable episodes like they used to? (Mediafire seemed ok to me.....?)

The shows are still being posted, but they're no longer being advertised on here for the whole world and it's lawyers to see!

Try Mark's private (members only!) forum if you want "jammy" links:

there are plenty of links here too.

I think we are now all fully aware of the forum. I have just added a prominent link on the links page just in case.
I realise some feel strongly it’s a superior medium. But there are advantages to a mail-list too and indeed to visibility.
Both the list and the form can co-exist!
I have never said anything negative or critical about Mark’s forum and won’t be doing so.

Very very happy for anyone to discuss ways to improve what we do here. And as always, if you feel this group doesn’t work for you any more, at the bottom of every email there is an unsubscribe option.

I'm finding all this rather confusing Dean!! So one has to register on this new forum first? Then links to the episodes will become available?

No, I am not aware of the forum. Eventually, I was able to locate a link to a forum, and it seems to be the same link Mark has tried to post. Is it a duplicate, or both of you having a hand in it? And it leads no where as well.

There is nothing on that forum. All I get is "Sorry but there are currently no threads in this forum". Will there be some posts later when there are more people in it? So then, what is this forum for?

It's very disconcerting to have to run here and there to be able to find anything. I agree -- it used to be so much easier in the old days! :-)

If it says that, it means it's available only to registered forum users... the wording is regrettable, but I can't do much about that.

On a different thread, unrelated to Tallguy's post...

For those who seem so desperately confused about things, it's not too complicated.

- There is the Yahoo mailing list, which is as it always has been.  You can use it, or not. It's your choice.
- There is the forum for those who want to use it; you do not need to use it if you have spiritual, moral, religious, legal, political or dietary objections to using it.
- The forum always has the current login information for my JAM collection. You need to register at the forum to get the password because that gives me a little control over how that information is disseminated across the web. Again, if you don't like it, don't use it. It's your choice.
- There's no "two tier" situation. I don't even understand what that is supposed to mean.
- Registration to both this Yahoo list and and the forum is free and easy.  It's not like selling your firstborn to Satan and then having to swim the length of the Thames to qualify.
- You need not post to either venue if you don't want to. Noone is forcing you to do anything.
- If you don't want to download my JAMs, don't download them. It's as simple as that.
- Just for the love of Dog please stop moaning and whingeing about how difficult life is for you to get free downloads. We seeders put an enormous amount of time, money and/or effort into collecting, curating, editing and uploading material. If you can't be bothered putting a couple of minutes of thought into accessing them, that's your choice.

I really don't see why there are so many pairs of knotted knickers waving around.

There.  Sorry for getting irritated, but I'm feeling a bit better now.
