Topic: Episode Cataloging (What I've Got On My iPod!)

I've been finding it more than a bit daunting sifting through all the Just A Minute episodes I have and properly tagging them (I'm using iTunes as my interface) so I know when they were broadcast followed by the first subject and they then appear in tidy chronological order on my iPod lists. Anyone have a quick and easy way to do this? I realize that one simple way to do so would be downloading them all from one specific comprehensive source which has already done so, but that in itself would take quite a bit of time and at this point in the game I already have a majority of the episodes, now it's just a matter of getting my ducks in a row.

This has probably been discussed in the past; if so, my apologies as so many of you are old hands at the cataloging game.

Louis

There are many automated tagging solutions out there. ITunes is probably
not your best choice. Most of those I have are already tagged, so I'm
surprised yours aren't. Anyway, look for "automatic ID3 tagger" or similar
and you should find a number of solutions. I don't do file tagging myself,
so I can't recommend anything more specific. If you're getting them
directly from the BBC IPlayer or podcasts, they should already be tagged. I
would think ITunes would have some kind of automatic tagging ability as well.

Louis - You could do a lot worse than mp3tag - freeware from http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

+1 for Mp3tag
It does batch tagging (numerous files in one hit) - just what you want I reckon
