Thanks for the response, KJ.

I'm not surprised that the BBC might be cracking down, I've been amazed over the years just how lax they have been with JAM and other radio programmes, though the recording and exchange of programmes is a tradition going back as long as I can remember; indeed Paul Merton himself frequently refers to the time in the eighties when he recorded and repeatedly listened to Just A Minute episodes in his bedsit.

Perhaps some kind soul who knows how to achieve reasonable quality recordings from the BBC play again service might add a step by step guide on how to use software such as Audacity - and more to the point, what settings should be used to get a reasonable recording - all mine sound terribly 'hollow' for some reason and are really quite nasty via headphones on my mp3 player. Such a guide would be a great addition to the files section of this group.

Having said that, there are many anonymous sites which still have JAM episodes available for download, such as sendspace, but not the very recent ones. Perhaps contractual changes have forced more recent shows to be removed from these sites. Also, new size limits have rendered useless many of the links in the link section of this group on sites such as mediafire. It is ironic that shows are becoming harder to come by as communications improve.

If anyone knows where I can pick up recent episodes, especially the first two of the current series which I missed completely, then please do drop me a mail at my yahoo mail box with the link.

Perhaps it is time to revert to winMx, an undetectable peer-to-peer sharing network through which I picked up my first few hundred episodes over a decade ago...

It's presumably because they're now selling individual episodes at £0.99 each (see http://www.audiogo.com/uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=just+a+minute).

Is there a single place to find the latest episodes? (I record them myself using Audacity but they never come out as well as the ones members post for some reason.)
