So the last episode of the current series has just aired. Confusingly, the announcer previewed the episode by saying: "And there's comedy coming up next here on Radio 4. Don't miss it. It's your last chance to chortle along with Just A Minute for this year." After it had finished she then said: "And Nicholas Parsons and Just A Minute will be back in the New Year."

As there are already seven more shows in the can, all of which are supposed to be airing THIS YEAR, her statements are obviously incorrect! Admittedly, six of those episodes will be on Radio 4's sister station, Radio 4 Extra, but I'm pretty sure the Christmas special, recorded earlier this month, will air just before Christmas - the most likely date being Monday, 23rd December 2013. In fact, it would have been an ideal opportunity to promote the Christmas special after tonight's broadcast!

I was also expecting the Christmas show to be s68e01 with the following episode airing on December 30th this year, but maybe that was just wishful thinking...

I hope so too. The last couple of years JAM hasnt resumed till late Feb/early March – a very long time to wait.
