>According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Omar_Khayyam_Show)Milligna made 3 series of The Idiot's Weekly for Australian broadcast and these were rehashed/rerecorded as a series of 6 for the BBC in 1963.

It sounds like an interesting series, similar in some ways to the Goon Show
but different. Thanks for any information you might have.
You could contact the Goon Show Preservation Society-( long time member myself)
I am sure some there would have more information

There are a couple of Wikipedia articles which will give you all the dates, etc. that you're looking for.
The series exists complete in the BBC archive although they don't seem to have exploited it commercially yet. It was broadcast on Friday evenings at 9.30pm, beginning 27th December 1963.

FYI
Spike Milligan was a founding member and Head writer for most of the Goon Shows
So the Goon Show Preservation Society Would be Interested

overseas recordings. They run fast and are direct transfers from my reels.
I might have the other two episodes somewhere, but I don't know. If
nothing else, your uploads give me a good idea of the correct running times.
That's most helpful. I did find a list of episodes and apparently it was
somehow related to the Goon Show. I confirmed the 1963-64 dates from the
log I found. My files are not in mp3, but they sound like there is a lot of
tape hiss if anyone wants them.
