Topic: Transcription help

Message 1 / 6

Hi all. I'm transcribing JAM #787 (Things you should never do in public) to help out Dean, but I can't decipher something.

At about 8:44, Paul refers to "Brian Ollocks [???] walked into the room, a magnificent figure of a man"

I can't find any reference to a name like that. Does anyone recognise it?

Cheers
Mark

He played for Plymouth Argyle football club (a team often mentioned by Clement) in the seventies, but not regularly. His teammates included Colin Unt and Freddie Uckwit who both went on to FA Cup glory, but that's another story.

Cheers,

Matt

Having just listened to that round, I don't think Paul was referring to anyone in particular - it's just a name he came up with to fill a couple of seconds until the whistle went. There are a few people who have created social profiles with that name, although I certainly wouldn't want to be called B. Ollocks!!!

Ah, so! Trust Paul to slip that one in.

No wonder Google wouldn't find him!

Thanks, Simon  :-)
