for the last recording of the current season is Paul Merton, Sheila Hancock, Kevin Eldon and Joe Lycett.
Not a great season for the semi-regulars - no Tony Hawks, no Graham Norton and no Sue Perkins. Sue has now missed three of the past four seasons.

For the most part I'm warming to some of the newer players, though I miss the three regulars one new (or new-ish) player equation that has been further diluted over the past few years.
Having said that, it does seem odd to me that there are so many big names missing from the Summer line up - Sue, Tony, Pam Ayres to name a few players who have been stalwarts. Regular luminaries being busy or not, we're talking JAM here. I know it is selfish on my part to expect them to open up a day in their schedules to participate, but I don't feel that is so much to hope for when you're reaching a world wide audience. It is rude of me to say this, but I thought Joe Lycett was terrible in the episode he did with Paul, Sue and Greg Proops last season and was hoping it would be a case of one and done.

What do people think of the two shows so far this season? From: mailto:just-a-minute@...Sent: Wednesday, May 28, 2014 8:12 PMSubject: Re: [just-a-minute] JAM teamI don't remember hearing Graham Norton this series yet either...I am missing a few of those line-ups of Graham, Sue and either Giles or Paul plus a guest.I guess sometimes they're harder to book? It's a shame though. I think both Graham and Sue really shine without an auto-cue, comparing it to some of their TV work.
I've enjoyed the shows thus far this series, and actually enjoyed the previous series more than I had imagined that I would. They've managed to bring along some entertaining new players in the past several series, players I now enjoy listening to - Fi Glover, Alun Cochrane, Rebecca Front, Holly Walsh, and Stephen Mangan to name a few. I just think it's a slippery slope booking more than one new player per episode when there are so many good established players to be had, players I have come to enjoy time and time again. I realize this is something of an ongoing gripe I've voiced before, but I also know it's one that others share as well. We only get so much JAM each year so I don't think it's unreasonable to hope to hear three established favorites per show and four established players going at each other once each series, because that's when JAM really shines in my book.
