Continuing our look at TV Times magazine 70 years ago today

Issue No.10 of TV Times magazine, published on Friday, 25th November, gave us seven days of ITV programme listings for Sunday, 27th November 1955 to Saturday, 3rd December 1955.

The cover star this week is Arthur Askey, who joined the new ITV channel after over 20 years appearing on BBC radio and tv. He would continue entertaining until he was hospitalised shortly before his death in 1982.

This week we’ve added all 53 cover images for the 1964 London edition of the TV Times, courtesy of The British Newspaper Archive. In September 1964, TV Times began printing full colour covers with additional colour pages inside.
