Continuing our look at TV Times magazine 70 years ago today

Issue No.6 of TV Times magazine, published on Friday, 28th October, gave us seven days of ITV programme listings for Sunday, 30th October 1955 to Saturday, 5th November 1955.

The front cover star was American musician, Johnnie Ray, who also contributed an article about his fame inside the magazine. The 28-year old, who had appeared in the Irving Berlin musical, There's No Business Like Show Business the previous year, limited himself to five television appearances a year. Val Parnell's Sunday Night at the London Palladium was his first television show outside of the US and the broadcast on Sunday, 30th October, would be his second starring session there within a month.
